AX2011 Poster Concept

Buddy of mine works for SPJA, asked me to do a poster work-up for this year.

Pretty sure they aren't using mine, as I have not heard anything back yet, so here it is!

Edit: To make this a bit more clear. The SPJA wanted this anime character on a poster, so they provided me with a high res PNG of this sci-fi chick.

As a Marketing Designer, Graphic Designer, and Digital Painter I was tasked with making the Character more appealing than "Some anime chick on a white piece of paper".

So seeing as she looks a bit Sci-Fi, I used Painter, and Photoshop to create the planet, which I dropped behind her on a black ground.

I then used Photoshop to create and paint in the Nebula, and finally add the stars.

Once again so Everyone is clear. The Girl was provided artwork, and the point of this post is I designed this Poster. I stripped away the Info about the Con, and the headlines so the created Artwork would show better.
